titleOfInvention | method of processing a four-legged animal in a slaughterhouse for consumption as meat and / or meat products, wherein said method comprises applying a biocidal solution |
abstract | METHOD OF PROCESSING A FOUR-FEED ANIMAL IN A SLAUGHTER FOR CONSUMPTION AS MEAT AND / OR MEAT PRODUCTS, WHERE THEY METHOD UNDERSTANDS THE APPLICATION OF A BIOCYCICAL SOLUTION Four-legged animal processing methods for slaughter consumption such as meat and / or meat products are described. The methods comprise (1) contacting the outer surfaces of the living animal at least once while the animal is on the way to sacrifice, but before being sacrificed by exsanguination with a microbiocid solution, or (II) contacting a carcass of the animal after which has experienced exsanguination with a microbiocidal solution or (III) contacting at least one raw meat product and / or at least one carcass-derived meat product at least once with a microbiocidic solution, or (IV) conducting some of two or all three of (I), (II), and (III). In each case the microbiocidal solution is independently comprised of: a) water having a residual bromine derived from (i) at least one bromine source, (ii) at least one alkaline base, and / or at least one alkaline base. (iii) at least one halogen stabilizer: (b) water having a bromine residue derived from (i) ammonium bromide and / or at least one alkaline bromide, and / or at least one alkaline terrestrial bromide , and (ii) at least one alkaline hypohalide and / or at least one alkaline terrestrial hypohalide: or c) water having a bromine residue derived from a mixture or combination of any or more of a) and some or more of b): the residual bromine in each a), b) and c) is sufficient to provide the microbiocidic activity. |
