abstract "corn compositions with high lysine content and methods for its detection". the present invention relates to assays to detect the presence of a transgenic lysine-increasing event based on the dna sequence of the exogenous dna construct inserted in the corn genome and genomic sequences flanking the insertion site. also supplied are transgenic plants having a new exogenous dna construct that expresses a dihydrodipycolinic acid synthase, the activity of which results in increased lysine in a plant or plant product.
