"INTERPOLYMER, REACTION PRODUCT, METHODS FOR CONVERTING A HYDROXYLE, FOR PREPARING A STABLE FORM OF A INTERPOLYMER, FOR CONVERTING A PRIMARY ALCOHOL, AND FOR TREATING A MAMMIFER REQUIRED OF THE SAME, COMPOSITION AND ORDERING FOR FARMING, " This invention provides cellulose ester interpolymers and methods for oxidizing cellulose interpolymers and cellulose ester interpolymers. The invention also provides routes for access to high acid carboxylated cellulose ester derivatives where the caboxyl group is attached directly to the backbone of the cellulose by a carbon-carbon bond. By functionalizing an intermediate aldehyde, the corresponding cationic or zuiterionic cellulose ester derivatives can also be accessed. The interpolymers of the present invention have numerous end applications, such as binder resins in various types of coating compositions and as drug delivery agents. |
