titleOfInvention Enzymatic substrates, culture media containing them and applying them to detect aminopeptidase activity and / or differentiate gram-positive from gram-negative bacteria
abstract "ENZYMATIC SUBSTRATES, MEANS OF CULTURE CONTAINING THE SAME AND APPLICATION OF THE SAME TO DETECT AMINOPEPTIDASE ACTIVITY AND / OR DIFFERENCE GRAM-POSITIVE BACTERIA BACTERIA". The present invention relates to novel chromogenic substrates which are used to detect aminopeptidase activity in microorganisms or to determine if at least one bacterium belongs to the Gram-positive group or Gram-negative group according to its color. The invention also relates to culture media containing said substrates, the application of substrates or media for detecting aminopeptidase activities and / or the differentiation of Gram-positive bacteria from Gram-negative bacteria and methods of application. The above mentioned new substrates have the formula below: wherein: R 1 is nothing or an alkyl, allyl or aryl group, R 2 consists of at least one amino acid, preferably alanine, and R 3, R4-, R5- and R6- independently consist of H- or -O-alkyl, preferably -0-CH3, R7- consists of H, O-CH3, Alkyl or halogen R 8 consists of H or Cl, and n is an integer corresponding to O or 1. The invention is particularly suitable for application in the diagnostic field.
