The present invention relates to a process for the industrial production of biodiesel whose development aims at obtaining a totally renewable and clean product that can be produced on an industrial scale within the national territory using raw materials found in abundance in our country. It is a chemical process that involves a transesterification reaction of triglycerides (new or used vegetable oils and animal, vegetable or hydrogenated fats) by the action of anhydrous, ethyl or methyl alcohol (s) on the presence of a metal hydroxide catalyst at ambient temperature and pressure. |
