The present invention relates to a multiple DNA vaccine and / or a multipurpose DNA vaccine for use in acquiring embryonic immunity in poultry eggs. The multiple DNA vaccine contains two or more DNA structures, each containing a DNA molecule encoding an avian viral protein or fragment thereof, capable of inducing a protective immune response against avian viral disease in birds. The multipurpose DNA vaccine contains a DNA structure that contains two or more DNA molecules, each representing an avian viral gene or a fragment thereof. The multipurpose DNA vaccine is capable of expressing two or more viral antigens and inducing protective immune responses against avian viral diseases in birds. Both multipurpose and multipurpose DNA vaccines are preferably injected into the amniotic fluid of the bird's egg after about 18 days of incubation.
