titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE MONITORING OF PROSTATE CANCER AND THEIR TREATMENT, COMBINED USE OF MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES AND ANDROGEN RECEPTOR (AR), HUMAN GLANDULAR CALCREINA 1 (KLK2) AND GENE DD3, OLIGONUCLEOUS AND USE |
abstract | "Method for monitoring prostate cancer and its treatment, combined use of molecular techniques and the biomarkers of androgen receptor (ar), human glandular kallikrein 1 (klk2) and the dd3 gene, oligonucleotides and use." The invention provides methods for monitoring prostate cancer patients by the combined use of molecular biology techniques, specifically semi-quantitative rt-pcr multiplex technology, components, and reaction conditions to estimate the relative abundance of air gene rna specimens. , klk2 and dd3 differentially expressed in prostate tissues of patients with adenocarcinomas, comparing them with benign prostatic diseases (hyperplasia, prostate infections among others). The invention also provides a method for determining a disease predictive index for the three genes for patients suspected of prostate cancer based on air expression, klk2 and dd3 in prostate tissue biopsies. This invention also establishes methods for monitoring prostate cancer patients by the combined use of molecular biology techniques, specifically nested rt-pcr technology, oligonucleotides, chemical components, and reaction conditions for detecting rna specimens of the klk2 and dd3 genes, differentially expressed in peripheral blood to monitor for the presence or absence of circulating micrometastatic cells in the peripheral blood of prostate cancer patients. The present invention has direct application in distinguishing prostate cancer patients from those with benign hyperplasia, as well as in choosing the most appropriate therapy according to disease stage. It also assists in monitoring the therapeutic efficacy and relapse of posttreatment disease. |
