titleOfInvention Fluorescent contrast agent near infrared and fluorescence imaging
abstract "FLUORESCENT CONTRAST AGENT NEXT TO INFRARED AND FLUORESCENCE IMAGE FORMATION". A near-infrared fluorescent contrast agent comprising the compound that has three or more sulfonic acid groups in a molecule and a fluorescence imaging process that comprises introducing the near-infrared fluorescent contrast agent into a living body, the exposure of the living body to an excitation light and the detection of near-infrared fluorescence from the cotraste agent. The near-infrared fluorescent contrast agent of the present invention is excited by an excitation light and emits near-infrared fluorescence. This infrared fluorescence is superior in relation to transmission through biological tissues. Thus, it became possible to detect lesions in the deep part of a living body. In addition, the contrast agent of the invention is superior to water solubility and has low toxicity and therefore can be used safely.
