'' METHOD OF PRODUCING A CELLULOSIC COMPOSITE ARTICLE, AND, CELLULOSIC COMPOSITE ARTICLE '' Disclosed here is a cellulosic composite article and steam injection press method to make it combined a phenolic resin with cellulosic material to form a mixture , and therefore, providing a catalyst, such as aluminum chloride, to the mixture. As an alternative, the method can include the steps of combining a catalyst with a cellulosic material to form a mixture and, therefore, providing a phenolic resin to the mixture. The method also includes the steps of forming a blend mat containing the catalyst and consolidating the mat containing the catalyst in a press apparatus under heat, steam and pressure to form the consolidated cellulosic product. |
