titleOfInvention | Attractive chemical agents for moths |
abstract | <B> "ATTRACTIVE CHEMICAL AGENTS FOR PLACES" <D>. The present invention relates to compositions and baits that provide attractive chemical synthetic agents, which function as highly effective attractive agents for male or female moths of the Noctuidae family. In one aspect of the invention, the attractants provide an effective amount of vapor attractant of 3-methyl-1-butanol, 3-methyl-1-pentanol or a mixture thereof. In another aspect of the invention, the attractive agents provide mixtures of acetic acid vapor and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of 3-methyl-1-butanol, 3-methyl-2-butanol and 3-methyl-1- pentanol. By attracting male and female moths to traps or baits, chemical attractants provide a means of detecting, examining, monitoring and controlling moths. |
