titleOfInvention Method to decrease the concentration of ldl cholesterol and increase the concentration of hdl cholesterol in the blood to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and vascular disease
abstract "METHOD FOR REDUCING THE CONCENTRATION OF LDL CHOLESTEROL AND INCREASING THE CONCENTRATION OF HDL CHOLESTEROL IN THE BLOOD TO REDUCE THE RISK OF AEROSCLEROSIS AND VASCULAR DISEASE" is provided a method of altering the concentration of cholesterol constituents in human blood. A daidzein material is administered to a human being to increase the concentration of HDL cholesterol, and to decrease the level of LDL cholesterol in the blood. The daidzein material can be administered in a pharmaceutical composition, or in a dietary supplement, including dietary supplements based on soy protein. The use of daidzein to increase the concentration of HDL cholesterol and decrease the concentration of LDL cholesterol in the blood reduces the risk of atherosclerosis and vascular disease, providing more health-beneficial HDL cholesterol and reducing the level of LDL cholesterol that induces atherosclerosis.
