titleOfInvention Plant modified sucrose binding protein, nucleic acid molecule encoding a modified plant sucrose binding protein, vector, transgenic plant expressing a modified plant sucrose binding protein, isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a plant sucrose binding protein, recombinant expression cassette, recombinant nucleic acid molecule and transgenic plant comprising a recombinant nucleic acid molecule
abstract "MODIFIED PLANT SUCHAROSIS BINDING PROTEIN, NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE CODING A MODIFIED PLANT SUCHAROSIS PROTEIN, VECTOR, TRANSGENIC PLANT ISOLATED OF A MODIFIED PLANTAGE SACCOSITE PROTEIN , RECOMBINANT EXPRESSION CASSETTE, TRANSGENIC PLANT UNDERSTANDING A RECOMBINANT EXPRESSION CASSETTE, RECOMBINANT NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE AND TRANSGENIC PLANT UNDERTAKING A RECOMBINANT NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE ". A cDNA encoding a plant sucrose-binding protein (SBP, initials from the original Sucrose Binding Protein) is provided, along with modified SBPs showing increased sucrose absorption activity in a yeast assay system. Nucleic acid vectors, transgenic cells and transgenic plants with modified sucrose absorption activity are also provided. The invention is also related to promoter sequences useful for the control of expression of transgenes in plants, including SBP transgenes.
