METHODS OF IDENTIFICATION, SELECTION AND PRODUCTION OF CORN POLISHING RUST RESISTANT CROPS. The present invention relates to plant breeding and methods of identification and selection of plants with resistance to corn rust-polysora. Methods are provided to identify new genes that encode the proteins that give the plant resistance to corn rust-polysora and uses thereof. These disease resistant genes are useful in producing resistant plants through plant breeding, transgenic modification or genome editing. |
