abstract |
activated carbon by the adsorption of per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds. [problem] provide: an activated carbon adsorbing per and polyfluoroalkyl compounds having a high collection rate of a per and polyfluoroalkyl compound in an air sample; and a filter using the same. [solution] This activated carbon adsorbent of per and polyfluoroalkyl compounds is for desorbably adsorbing a per and polyfluoroalkyl compound in an air sample and is composed of an activated carbon absorbing material with: a specific surface area bet of at least 900 m2 /g ; a sum of micropore volumes (vmic) of at most 1 nm of at least 0.35 cm 3 /g; a sum of the volumes (vmet) of mesopores from 2-60 nm of at least 0.02 cm 3 /g; a volume difference (vs) between the micropore volume (vmic) and the mesopore volume (vmet) of at least 0.45; and an amount of surface oxide of at least 0.10 meq/g. |
