cholix-derived vehicles for oral administration of heterologous payload. the present description provides delivery constructs comprising a vehicle coupled to a heterologous payload, where coupling of the vehicle to the payload can result in the transport of the payload (e.g., a therapeutic payload) into and/or through epithelial cells intact polarized cells (eg, mammalian gut epithelial cells). the delivery construct can be part of a pharmaceutical composition that can be orally administered to an individual in order to provide improved therapies effective for the treatment of, for example, inflammatory diseases or autoimmune diseases. |
