CATALYST INJECTION SYSTEM FOR AN OLEFINE POLYMERIZATION REACTOR |
abstract |
CATALYST INJECTION SYSTEM FOR AN OLEFINE POLYMERIZATION REACTOR.nThe present description relates to a method and apparatus for sending a multi-component olefin polymerization catalyst to a polymerization reactor. The components soluble in a first solvent are sent under pressure together with that solvent in a first delivery line. Components that are insoluble in the first solvent, but are soluble in a second solvent are sent under pressure in a second delivery duct that is coaxially arranged with and disposed within the first duct, so that the inner duct and the outer duct end in a common catalyst component mixing conduit that extends within the polymerization reactor and in which the catalyst components mix to form an active polymerization catalyst. |
