The present invention provides formulations and associated manufacturing methods for solid personal care products in which the amount of product deposition achieved when the product is used by the consumer, a characteristic known as payback, can be calibrated by the manufacturer. this is done by varying the levels of various ingredients that comprise the molten form of the product. the amounts of the ingredients propanediol and glycerin, sucrose cocoate, silica and starch can be adjusted to form a final product with the desired payoff. according to the invention, it is possible to vary one or more, or all five of these ingredients for the final formulation, in order to arrive at the preferred return. |
