PSEUDOVARIOLA VIRUS (PCPV), METHODS TO GENERATE PCPV AND TO AMPLIFY PCPV, COMPOSITION, METHOD OF TREATMENT, METHOD TO INHIBIT GROWTH OF TUMOR CELLS, USE OR METHOD OF RESULTING AND UNDERSTOVING ETHIOUS PROVISION |
abstract |
The present invention is in the field of viral immunotherapy. The invention provides new pseudovariola viruses (PCPV), in particular recombinant PCPV, their composition, as well as their therapeutic use to prevent or treat diseases and, notably, proliferative diseases such as cancer and restenosis and infectious diseases, such as chronic ones. The present invention also provides methods for generating and amplifying such a PCPV and a method for inducing or stimulating and / or redirecting an immune response using such a PCPV. More specifically, the invention provides an alternative to existing poxvirus vectors, such as MVA (Modified Ankara Virus) and can be widely used for therapeutic vaccination. |
