| abstract |
the fastener includes a support layer and rows of rail segments and rows of columns that project perpendicularly from the support layer. the rows of rail segments and the rows of column segments alternate. each of the rail segments has a base portion attached to the support layer and a head portion distal to the support layer. the head portion has a head width that is greater than the width of the base portion, and the head portion protrudes over the base portion on opposite sides. the base portion has a length that is greater than the width of the base portion. each of the columns has a height that is no greater than a height of the rail segments and a length that is different from the length of the rail segments. a fixing system that includes the fastener and a package will also be described. |
