the present description refers to a drug injection device. according to a first aspect, the present description describes an injection device comprising: a mobile dosing programming component comprising a rotary coding system having the predefined angular periodicity; a sensor array comprising a first optical sensor configured to detect the movement of the mobile dosing scheduling component with respect to the sensor array during dosing a drug, wherein the first optical sensor is configured to operate in a sampling mode strobe in a first frequency; a second optical sensor configured to detect the movement of the rotary encoding system with respect to the second optical sensor in which the second optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe sampling mode at a second frequency lower than the first frequency; and a processor arrangement configured to, based on said detected movement, determine a drug dosage administered by the injection device. |
