abstract the present invention relates to an implanted intraocular shunt that can be manually manipulated, without surgical intervention, to modify the resistance of the shunt flow, thus providing high intraocular pressure relief while preventing hypotonia. for example, by applying pressure across a surface of the eye, a portion of the shunt can be displaced or separated with respect to the shunt, thereby reducing a resistance to the flow of the shunt.
