| abstract |
the present invention relates to a bone fixation system (12) that is configured to be implanted and attached to a bone in order to stabilize the bone. the bone fixation system includes an implant (20) having a plate portion (22) configured to be attached to a first bone segment by a first bone anchor and a second bone segment through a second anchor. the implant additionally includes a mesh portion (23) configured to be in contiguity with a third segment of the bone in order to prevent movement of the third segment in relation to both the first segment and the second segment. the implant defines an external perimeter defined partly by the plate portion and partly by the network portion. |
