abstract |
the present invention relates to methods for treating a subject bearing a tumor. these methods include administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of cd8+ cd39+ cd103+ t lymphocytes. the present invention also relates to methods for isolating a nucleic acid encoding a t-lymphocyte receptor (tcr) that specifically binds a tumor cell antigen. these methods include isolating cd8+ cd39+ cd103+ t lymphocytes from a sample of an individual bearing a tumor expressing the tumor cell antigen, and cloning a nucleic acid molecule encoding a tcr from cd8+ cd39+ cd103+ t lymphocytes. further, the present invention relates to methods for expanding cd8+ cd39+ cd103+ t lymphocytes. in additional embodiments, the present invention pertains to methods for determining whether an individual bearing a tumor will respond to a checkpoint inhibitor. methods include detecting the presence of cd8+ cd39+ cd103+ t lymphocytes in a biological sample from an individual. |
