determination of oncogenic splice variant systems and methods to identify splice variants are presented here. techniques include determining one or more sample splice joints from a plurality of rna sequence readings from a single biological sample, recovering a set of baseline splice joints determined from a plurality of healthy rna samples and comparing one or more sample splice joints with the baseline splice joint set to identify one or more filtered sample splice joints comprising sample splice joints that do not overlap with the baseline splice junctions, where the one or more filtered sample splice junctions are candidate oncogenic events. |
