Various methods, systems, and devices for processing tissue ablation are disclosed. Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods of treating tumors, systems used to radiate tissue and tumors with electromagnetic radiation, components and devices of this system, and kits for providing systems used to radiate tissue and tumors with electromagnetic radiation. In some embodiments, the system provides subablative infrared radiation that is absorbed by the nanoparticles. In some embodiments, nanoparticles absorb radiation by converting it into thermal energy. In some embodiments, although infrared radiation alone may be subablative, the thermal energy generated by the nanoparticles is sufficient to cause thermal coagulation, hyperthermia, and / or tissue ablation. |
