abstract Respiratory Early Warning Scoring Systems and Methods An early warning scoring system and method are disclosed. The system comprises a computing device, a plurality of sensors for acquiring a patient's physiological signals, wherein the sensors are functionally connected to the computing device and at least one alarm adapted to give an alert on an early warning score (ews). exceeding a predetermined level. The computing device receives the physiological signals from the sensors, analyzes the physiological signals and based on the analyzed signals, calculates the early warning score and compares the early warning score to predetermined limits and, if the score is out of range, triggers a alarm or act or modify a treatment or medical intervention.
