a moisturizing gel composition containing from 4 wt% to 12 wt% of a humectant selected from trimethylglycine, propylene glycol, glycerin and combinations thereof; from 1% by weight to 6% by weight of skin texture agent selected from peg-14m, polyglyceryl-3-laurate, isostearyl methyl ether ppg-3, almond glyceride peg60, and combinations thereof; from 0.25 wt% to 1 wt% of a skin conditioning agent selected from shea oil and triterpene esters; from 0.2 wt% to 2 wt% of a structural enhancing polymer selected from carbomers, acrylate polymers, acrylate copolymers and combinations thereof; and a cosmetically acceptable aqueous carrier; wherein the composition has a ph of 4 to 7. A method for producing the composition at low temperatures is further disclosed. |
