The present invention relates to a method for imparting resistance to phenolic yellowing during storage, transport and processing of polyamide articles caused by the presence of phenolic compounds in plastic packaging materials. Resistance to phenolic yellowing is achieved by adding a sulfonated reagent during polymerization of the polyamide and/or during formation of the polyamide article, such as extrusion through melt spinning and/or during conversion of the polyamide article by means of of texturing. |
