highly efficient ethanol fermentative yeasts |
abstract |
It is an object of the present invention to obtain fermentative yeasts which have highly efficient ethanol production without introducing an exogenous gene. A further object is to obtain fermentative yeasts that are resistant to proliferation inhibitors such as organic acids which prevent the proliferation of fermentative yeasts. a yeast exhibiting improved ethanol production capacity was generated by introducing transaldolase and alcohol dehydrogenase genes by autocloning to meyerozyma guilliermondii, which can efficiently produce ethanol from pentose and hexose obtained by reproduction; and further reproducing the resulting yeasts. |
