The invention relates to a method of MRI imaging of an object (10) positioned in an examination volume of an MRI device (1). It is an objective of the invention to enable silent MRI imaging with diffusion-weighted or T2-weighted contrast *. The invention proposes that the method comprises the steps of: a) subjecting the object (10) to an imaging sequence that comprises: a) gradually varying a magnetic field gradient vector (GX, GY, GZ) from an initial position ( A) to a final position (B) along a plurality of intermediate positions, while a number of RF pulses (20) are irradiated in the presence of the magnetic field gradient; b) gradually vary the magnetic field gradient vector (GX, GY, GZ) again from the start position (A) to the end position (B) along the plurality of intermediate positions, while a number of MRI echo signals is captured in the presence of the magnetic field gradient; c) obtain samples of a spherical volume in space k by repeating steps a) and b) several times for the different initial, intermediate and / or final positions; d) reconstruct an MRI image from the echo signals (...). |
