titleOfInvention | continuous process for the production of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene |
abstract | The present invention relates to a continuous process for producing ultra high molecular weight polyethylene with an elongation stress of at least 0.43 n / mm². The polymerization of ethylene occurs in the presence of a catalyst and hydrogen. An advantage of the process according to the invention is the fact that the use of small amounts of hydrogen during the production of uhmwpe reduces scale formation in the reactor. furthermore, the process according to the invention results in longer reactor polymerization times, fewer cleaning cycles for removal of reactor fouling, and less need for other antifouling or antistatic agents. |
