AEROSOL GENERATOR ITEM WITH LOW RESISTANCE AIR FLOW PATH. The present invention relates to a heated aerosol generating article (10) for use with an aerosol generating device that is designed to be difficult to light in the form of traditional cigarettes. The heated aerosol generating article (10) comprises a plurality of components, including an aerosol forming substrate (20), mounted within a housing (60) to form a column having a mouth end (70) and a distal end. The heated aerosol generating article (10) defines a first airflow path in which air engulfed in the aerosol generating article (10) through the mouth end (70) passes through the aerosol forming substrate (20), and a second airflow path in which air engulfed in the aerosol generating article (10) through the mouth end (70) does not pass through the aerosol forming substrate (20).
