titleOfInvention | INK FORMULATIONS AND FILM CONSTRUCTIONS THEREOF |
abstract | INK FORMULATIONS AND FILM CONSTRUCTIONS THEREOF. The invention relates to ink formulations suitable for being deposited on an intermediate transfer element of an indirect printing system and for being transferred therefrom to a substrate. The inks are aqueous inkjet inks comprising an organic polymeric resin and a colorant. Ink film structures including a plurality of continuous ink films firmly adhered to the printing substrate obtainable with these inks are also described. The inks and printed structures are such that the ink films and the dry inks comprising them have a first dynamic viscosity in a range of 10(6) cP to 5x10(7) cP at at least a first temperature in a first range of 60 °C to 87.5°C, and a second dynamic viscosity of at least 6x10(7) cP, at at least a second temperature in a second range of 50°C to 55°C. |
