titleOfInvention stabilized polyurethane polyol blends containing halogenated olefin blowing agent derivatives
abstract Abstract "Stabilized polyurethane polyol blends containing halogenated olefin blowing agent derivatives" The present invention relates to imidazole and / or its derivative as a catalyst of polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foam in the presence of low potential halogenated olefin blowing agents. global warming (gwp), such as hydrochloride olefin (hcfo) hcfo-1233zd. more particularly, the present invention relates to catalyst compositions comprising imidazole and / or a derivative thereof. The present invention also relates to stable premix formulations resulting from polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foams. One method for stabilizing the thermocured foam mixture comprises combining: (a) a polyisocyanate and optionally isocyanate compatible raw materials; and b) a polyol premix composition comprising a halogenated olefin blowing agent, a polyol, a surfactant, and a catalyst, wherein the catalyst comprises substituted imidazole having c 2 or greater substitutions in nitrogen n 1 and / or derivatives thereof. The resulting polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foams have uniform cell structure with little or no foam collapse.
