SUMMARY Patent Invention "PHENYLEPHRINE RESIN PARTICLES AND THEIR USE IN PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATIONS". The present disclosure describes phenylephrine particles suitable for solid, semi-solid or liquid dosage forms are disclosed. 1 A unit dose of approximately 84.2 mg of ER coated phenylephrine resinate particles is equivalent to a 20 mg dose of phenylephrine HCl. The unit dose of approximately 63.2 mg of ER coated phenylephrine resinate particles is equivalent to 15 mg of phenylephrine HCl, and this last unit dose was administered with 10 ml of liquid phenylephrine 2.5 mg/5 ml, for a total dose equivalent to 20 mg of phenylephrine HCl. 2 the extended release acetaminophen tablet formulation was the same commercially available granulation formulation in Tylenol(r) Arthritis. |
