The present invention relates to compositions comprising a collection of overcoated particles wherein each of the overcoated particles comprises a first coating and a second coating. In one embodiment, the first coating comprises a water-insoluble material, for example a fatty compound or a waxy material. in another embodiment, the second coating comprises a water-insoluble polymer or water-resistant film, wherein the water-insoluble polymer of the second coating is different from the water-insoluble material of the first coating. Also provided is a slurry comprising water and overcoated powders provided herein. Also provided is a method of contacting plants or plant parts with a composition or slurry provided herein.
