titleOfInvention | COMPOSITION OF SUN FILTER, METHODS TO PROTECT KERATIN SUBSTRATE FROM ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION AND TO ABSORB ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT AND COMPOSITION USE |
abstract | COMPOSITIONS OF SUN FILTER AND THEIR USES, METHODS TO PROTECT KERATIN SUBSTRATE FROM ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION AND TO ABSORB IT Sunscreen compositions having a synergistic combination of filtering agents in ultraviolet (UV) light, which provides a high sun protection factor (FPS ). Compositions according to the disclosure have high SPF values, without requiring higher global amounts of UV filtering agents. Furthermore, the disclosure refers to methods of using the compositions described for the protection of keratinous substances, such as skin and hair, from UV radiation. The ratio of each filter to avobenzone in sunscreen compositions is typically as follows: octocrylene to avobenzone is 0.8: 1.0 to 1.5: 1.0; Tinosorb S for avobenzone 0.3; 1.0 for 0.8: 1.0; Uvinul T150 for avobenzone is 0.3: 1.0 to 1.0: 1.0; Mexoril SX for avobenzone is 0.1: 1.0 to 0.5: 1.0; and Mexoril XL for avobenzone is 0.3: 1.0 to 1.0: 1.0. The ratios for avobenzone are about 1.2: 1.0: 0.5: 0.6: 0.4: 0.6 (octocrylene: avobenzone: Tinosorb S: Uvinul T150: Mexoril SX: Mexoril XL). |
