abstract | The present invention relates to a polymer structured aqueous detergent liquid composition comprising: (i) a surfactant system comprising surfactant and alkaline material present as surfactant salts and/or as free base, (ii) optionally, 0 0.01% by weight or more of suspended particles, (iii) optionally, 3% by weight or more of polymer which reduces the viscosity of the composition to 20 s-1, and (iv) at least 0.05% by weight of a suspension system comprising copolymer formed by addition polymerization of: (A) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a first monomer consisting of an ethylenically unsaturated diacid of formula (I): HOOC-CR1=CR2-COOH or a cyclic unsaturated anhydride precursor of such an ethylenically unsaturated diacid, the anhydride having the formula (II) wherein R 1 and R 2 are individually selected from H, C 1 -C 3 alkyl, phenyl, chlorine and bromine; (B) from 15 to 60% by weight of a second ethylenically unsaturated (meth)acrylic acid monoacid monomer; (C) from 30 to 70% by weight of a third ethylenically unsaturated monomer consisting of C1-C8 alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid; (D) from 1 to 25% by weight of a fourth ethylenically unsaturated monomer, consisting of a surfmer of formula (III), in which R3 and R4(...). |
