abstract method for preparing polyalkyleneimines from alkyleneimines, polyalkyleneimine, formulation, and use of a polyalkyleneimine or a formulation. the invention relates to methods for producing polyalkyleneimines from alkyleneimines in the presence of a liquid solvent, and a catalyst, wherein the production takes place semi-continuously in a reaction vessel. optionally, the production takes place in the presence of additional additives. the invention further relates to polyalkyleneimines produced according to such methods and formulations thereof, in particular with a low content of chloride-containing compounds. such polyalkyleneimines are used in the fields of medical equipment, pressure media, waste water treatment, surface treatment, cosmetics, detergents, biotechnology, packaging, electronics, paper, construction chemistry, textiles, chromatography, ion exchangers, oil industry, ceramics, glass, membrane technology, catalysts, electroplating, biocide or wood protection applications. applications are also possible as corrosion inhibitors, dispersants, oil additives, for the formulation of pharmaceuticals, hair care agents, fragrances and aromas, for producing genetic vectors, for functionalizing and modifying surfaces in electroplating and medical equipment or for producing systems cleaning equipment for the semiconductor and lithium battery industry.
