abstract butadiene extraction process. process for the recovery of 1,3-butadiene from a fraction of hydrocarbons c4, in which the processes of extraction of butadiene can be operated at an intermediate pressure using a liquid ring type compressor. the use of a liquid ring compressor, among other process options presented here, can advantageously reduce investment and operating costs, similar to the no compressor option, while reducing the risks associated with higher operating temperatures and pressures associated with the no compressor option. thus, the modalities of the processes described here encompass the best characteristics of conventional design (low pressure, with a compressor) with the advantages of the design without compressor (low investment and operating cost), as well as other unique advantages for the systems disclosed on here.
