method of preparing an adhesive wound dressing, and adhesive wound dressing is a method of preparing an adhesive wound dressing, wherein the dressing comprises a central portion and an edge portion, wherein the method comprises the steps of providing a backing layer, drawing the backing layer into a mold and dispensing a portion of uncured adhesive over the mold, distributing the adhesive in the mold and removing excess adhesive. the adhesive is cured and the backing layer is detached from the mold. the central portion is provided with a plurality of through holes and an absorbent patch is placed on the non-adhesive side of the central portion and finally a protective layer is laminated to the absorbent patch and to the edge portion of the backing layer. |
