It is used to stir the cast iron by turning the impeller while immersed in the cast iron. This preliminary cast iron treatment method is a preliminary cast iron treatment method in which a propellant (3) attached to a tip portion of an axis of rotation (2) is immersed in cast iron (5) within a vessel. ore reduction (4) and in which the cast iron and additive (6) are agitated by turning the immersed propellant.
