abstract Abstract Method for Producing Ethanol by Fermentation of a Whole Grain Product This is a method for increasing ethanol production from a described dry milling process comprising adding a trichoderma reesei-derived enzyme preparation having cellulolytic activity for a saccharification process that includes conventional alpha-amylase and glycoamylase. Addition of the cellulolytic enzyme decreases the viscosity of the saccharified mixture and may increase the ethanol yield from dry milling fermentation by up to 10% or more. The specific characteristics are presented to show surprising and advantageous results of a particular cellulolytic enzyme preparation from t. reesei. 1/1
