abstract “drug flowable or ingestible by spoon, food, food ingredient or food supplement, method of inducing satiety or of reversibly reducing empty stomach volume in an individual and method of reducing caloric intake in an individual” a flowable or ingestible drug by spoon, food, food ingredients or food supplement is useful for inducing satiety. it comprises (a) one or more mono-, di- and/or oligosaccharides, and (b) a methylcellulose, the methylcellulose having anhydroglucose units linked by 1-4 bonds where the hydroxy groups of anhydroglucose units are substituted with a methyl group such that s23/s26 is from 0.17 to 0.36, where s23 is the molar fraction of anhydroglucose units where only the two hydroxy groups in the 2- and 3- positions of the anhydroglucose units are replaced with methyl groups and where s26 is the mole fraction of anhydroglucose units where only the two hydroxy groups at the 2- and 6- positions of the anhydroglucose unit are replaced with methyl groups. 1/1 |
