abstract Summary "New cycloalkane aldehydes, their method of preparation and their use in perfumery" The invention relates to a compound of formula I represented below: wherein: - r1, r2 and r3 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched alkyl group C1 to C5; - m is an integer between 1 and 4; - n is an integer between 2 and 4; characterized in that the ring is saturated and comprises from 5 to 8 carbons, wherein the total number of ring carbons and the radicals r1, r2 and r3 is between 7 and 11 and it is understood that said compound of formula (i ) is not: - 6-cycloheptylidenehexanal - 4- (4-methylcyclohexylidene) -butanal - 4- (4-tert-butylcyclohexylidene) -butanal - 4- (3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexylidene) -butanal as well as a method of synthesizing said compounds, and their uses in perfumery.
