FIBROUS COMPOSITE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING A FIBROUS COMPOSITE. Fabrication of ballistic resistant fibrous composites having improved ballistic resistance properties. More particularly, ballistic resistant fibrous composites having high shear strength of interlaminar overlap between component fiber layers or fiber layers which correlate with low composite backface signature. The high overlap shear strength, low back face signature are useful for producing rigid armor articles, including helmet armor. |
