abstract |
Summary method for the preparation of a polyvalent immunoglobulin concentrate. The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of a polyvalent immunoglobulin concentrate for therapeutic use from an initial blood plasma solution or an immunoglobulin enriched plasma fraction comprising the steps of removal of protein contaminants by precipitation with caprylic acid to obtain a protease free solution, and separation by means of fluid bed chromatography of the protease free solution, said method resulting in a polyvalent human immunoglobulin concentrate with a yield of more than 4.5 g of immunoglobulins per liter of blood plasma applied to obtain. |
