substantially constant low pressure injection molding method |
abstract |
A method for injection molding at substantially constant low pressure is presented here an injection molding method at substantially constant low melting pressures. the modalities of the presented method enable an injection molding method that is more efficient, from an energy-and cost-point of view, than conventional high-speed injection molding processes. the modalities of the method presented allow, surprisingly, the filling of a mold cavity at low melting pressure without undesirable premature hardening of the thermoplastic material in the mold cavity and without the need to maintain a constant temperature or the heated mold cavity. so far, it was not expected that a constant pressure method could be performed at low pressure without premature hardening of the thermoplastic material using an unheated mold cavity or cooled mold cavity. |
