method for producing l-cysteine. a new technique that increases the production capacity of bacteria l-cysteine has been developed, and thus a method is provided to produce compounds such as l-cysteine. by cultivating in a medium containing thiosulfuric acid a bacterium classified under enterobacteriaceae, having an amplified expression of a gene involved in the reduction of sulfite, and having the capacity to produce l-cysteine, and then collecting l-cysteine, a substance related, or a mixture of them that accumulated in the medium, said compounds are produced. |
