abstract Pyrrol derivatives used as alpha7 nachr modulators are pyrrol derivatives of formula I as nicotinic aceticoline receptor modulators particularly the Î ± 7 subtype. The invention includes pyrrole derivatives, analogs, prodrugs thereof, isotopes thereof, metabolites thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, polymorphs, solvates, optical isomers, ciatrates, cocrystals, combinations with suitable medicament and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. The present invention also includes a process for preparing said compounds and their intended use in therapy. Due to the modulating activity of pyrrol derivatives on nicotinic aceticoline receptors, the invention finds application in the prophylaxis and therapy of disorders encompassing the involvement of cholinergic transmission in the peripheral and central nervous system. The invention relates to the ability of pyrrol derivatives to modulate cholinergic transmission and efficacy of the endogenous ach neurotransmitter by all nicotinic acetylcholine receptors particularly the Î ± 7 subtype.
